From August 19 to 23, 2026, Saint Petersburg hosted the XVII China-Russia-Belarus Symposium "Advanced Plasma Technologies 2026" (PPT 2026). The organizers were Tomsk Polytechnic University, Dalian University of Technology, and Belarusian State University. The symposium aimed to bring together scientists and technologists from the three countries to exchange experience in pulsed beam and plasma technologies, facilitate personnel training, and develop joint projects.

The Vacuum Technologies Laboratory (LVT+) company took an active part in the symposium. The report was delivered by Deputy Director Vasily Yuryevich Grigoriev (co-author — Evgeny Vladimirovich Berlin). The presentation focused on an integrated approach to the development of plasma treatment and coating deposition equipment, based on many years of experience in serial production and implementation of vacuum equipment.

The key focus was on the company's dual strategy: creating fundamentally new solutions (plasma generators) and deeply modernizing existing technologies. This approach allows unlocking the hidden potential of equipment and adapting it to new tasks without a radical replacement of the existing machinery.

The report covered in detail the application experience and modernization of key types of LVT+ equipment:

-
anode-layer ion sources (surface cleaning and activation);

-
radio-frequency plasma generators (high-density plasma generation);

-
high-power electron guns (thermal evaporation);

-
innovative solutions in magnetron sputtering, including thermal evaporation in a magnetron discharge.
